You are a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician responsible for conducting testing on PCR reagents and consumable products while accurately documenting results in SAP. Your role involves collaborating with team members to prioritize tasks, maintain lab cleanliness, and ensure compliance with quality standards. This is a 6 month temporary position.

This position pays

Location:Hercules

Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm

What you will be doing:

  • Complete testing on assigned batches and document results in SAP for review and product release.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members, supervisors, and planners to prioritize tasks and avoid backorders.
  • Attend daily Tier 1 meetings to report on safety, quality, delivery, and inventory updates.
  • Support Quality Control activities for PCR reagents and consumable products.
  • Perform QC testing on incoming and manufactured materials to facilitate inventory release.
  • Document testing activities and results accurately, adhering to ISO13485 requirements.
  • Inform supervisors of any deviations from processes and take necessary follow-up actions.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities with guidance.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, implement 5S, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Cross-train across a variety of product portfolios and assays.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a life science (Chemistry, Biology) or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment performing analyses in chemistry, biochemistry, or related life sciences, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred, with SAP being a plus.
