Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting (CONTRACT)

You are a Senior Accountant specializing in SEC reporting and financial disclosures, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements across organizations. You focus on preparing key reports such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, while collaborating with internal teams to manage equity compensation accounting and financial reporting. With your strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations, you ensure all disclosures meet the highest standards.

This position pays: $55-60/hour

What you will be doing:

• Participate in the preparation of all external financial reporting, including Forms 10-K and earnings releases on Form 8-K.
• Prepare the Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Shareholder’s Equity, share-based compensation expense and other financial disclosure requirements with such filings.
• Coordinate the information gathering process across the organization.
• Assist with equity compensation accounting and reporting.
• Prepare the quarterly SEC reporting tie-outs, which include the supporting documents for the SEC filings.
• Review XBRL interactive data files for 10-K filings in accordance with the SEC filing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to SEC Reporting and share-based compensation.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing monitoring of significant new accounting pronouncements.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• 2+ years of SEC reporting experience with a strong understanding of 10K/10Q filings.
  
  
• Software: Workiva and UBS experience required
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, including recently issued accounting pronouncements and SEC reporting principles and regulations. 
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal control frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas and collaborate with people with a diverse set of talents and perspectives.
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• CPA preferred.
