Machine Operator (Contract to Hire)

You are an experienced machine operator who can oversee all conveyor activities, including organizing work orders at load and unload stations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading products, completing necessary paperwork, and supporting the Shift Supervisor/Process Supervisor in ensuring the system’s safe operation.

This position pays: $21/hr + $23.11 paid lunch (OT after 8 hours)

Day Shift 11am-11pm (4 days on/off, 3 days on/off)


What you will be doing:

  • Preparation of dosimeters for scheduled work orders.

  • Operating and monitoring dosimeter readings using specialized equipment.

  • Compiling processed dosimeters with relevant documentation such as run data sheets, work orders, and load/unload sheets.

  • Maintaining accurate records of downtime and system configurations.

  • Inputting relevant information into computer systems for tracking and analysis.

  • Demonstrating proficiency in emergency procedures as mandated by regulatory licenses.

  • Promptly reporting any system issues to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician.

  • Assisting in the replacement of designated mechanical components and providing support to Maintenance staff when needed.

  • Undertaking additional tasks as directed by your Supervisor.

What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

  • Must be willing to work established shifts.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.

  • Computer skills desired.
