HR Administrator / Generalist (Contract)

Concord, CA

You are an HR Administrator with a Generalist background. You will participate as a member of the HR Team in the day-to-day operations of the department to facilitate consistent delivery of HR services to vice presidents, directors, managers, and staff. 

This position pays: $28 to $30 per hour

What you will be doing:

  • ADP Specialist processing requests and updating employee records
  • Answer emails from HR inbox
  • Follow up on current and prior requests
  • Contact Managers about required trainings
  • Support open enrollment
  • Support LOA’s and disability claims
  • Participate in new employee orientation
  • Other Generalist duties as required


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in human resources management or business related field preferred
  • 3-5 years human resources management experience as a generalist or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and training/presentation outlines.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as experience with Human Resources Information Systems (ADP preferred) and payroll (ADP preferred). Some knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint is desired.
  • PHR certification is desirable.
  • Understanding of and practical experience with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations, wage and salary programs, employee benefit plans, general employee communications, disability plans and programs, employee recognition programs, employment practices and training, performance management, personnel policies, workers’ compensation administration.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation and a valid California Driver’s License and insurance
  • Must be fully vaccinated
