Position: Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract)


You are


A detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist, ready to join our accounting team for a period of 2-4 months. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations and vendor relations. Your experience in full-cycle accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry, will help you quickly adapt to our processes and systems.


This position pays: $32 – $35/hr


What you will be doing:


Invoice Processing:

  • Handle full-cycle accounts payable, including processing approximately 30 invoices per day (150-200 per week).
  • Pull invoices from various portals and review statements for accuracy.
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox and ensure timely responses to vendor inquiries.
  • Payment Management:
  • Conduct weekly check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Review and process expense reports, entering them into the system as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors by addressing issues and ensuring timely payments



Systems & Reporting:

  • Utilize accounting software (JDEdwards experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided).
  • Look up projects and coordinate with project managers to verify invoice details.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.


What you bring:

  • Proven experience in full-cycle accounts payable.
  • Construction accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with JDEdwards or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
