Our client is seeking two Assistant Planners to join their dynamic Planning team!

As an Assistant Planner, you will manage the distribution of merchandise to support the company’s plan and maximize profitability and productivity within your assigned department(s).

 

Responsibilities:

Understand and execute appropriate distribution of products to stores to maximize store turns and profitability.

Analyze store-level data to identify chain, region, and store-level trends and recommend, and implement appropriate changes and actions.

Execute seasonal distributions in accordance with direction provided by planning and purchasing teams.

Own cross-functional communication regarding product sales, inventory position, and distributions for all stores

Build, develop, and maintain effective and productive working relationships within cross-functional teams (District Sales Managers, Planning Department, Purchasing Department, Stores, Distribution Center, etc.)

Visit stores and warehouses as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Can successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.

Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Intermediate experience with Excel preferred.

Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.

Food retail industry experience is a plus.

 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm

Compensation: $23-$27/hour DOE



Office Location:
Hybrid Schedule. Must be able to be in the office 2 times a week in our Emeryville, CA Headquarters.



Assignment Length:
3 months with the opportunity to convert to permanent.
