Safety Admin (CONTRACT)

You are an experienced Safety Admin, looking for a position where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of safety within our client’s organization.

This position pays: $40.00/hr

Location: Vacaville, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Duration: Through mid-June, potential to extend

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and uphold Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) to meet Department of Transportation and company standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee the drug screening process for new hires, random checks, etc.
  • Take charge of response, management, monitoring, and tracking of workers’ compensation claims.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to safety activities, including accidents/incidents, workers’ compensation, and OSHA compliance.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into accidents to determine causation factors and gather insights for preventing similar incidents in the future.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of personal protective equipment and safety supplies; initiate purchase orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions.
  • Perform safety observations, in-cab assessments, facility inspections, and site visits.
  • Prepare various correspondence and reports as needed.
  • Fulfill any other duties assigned.

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Typing speed of 70+ words per minute.
  • Extremely proficient in Excel.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, ideally within a safety department.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
