Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

You are a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for managing and processing incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This position pays: $28-35/hr

What you will be doing:

  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding, roughly 700 invoices monthly
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
  • Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Syspro a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
