Position: Medical Inventory Control Coordinator

Location:  Palo Alto, CA

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 6am to 3pm (Occasional weekends)

Compensation:  $23 to $28 per hour

For over 60+ years, our client has been providing comprehensive health system services to the local community at large.  Due to an increase in business demands and attention to service the general public, we’re looking to partner with a few Inventory Control professional to service their Palo Alto, CA operations. 

In this 6-month contract assignment, you’ll be tasked with the following day to day duties:

  • Maintain and update inventory data on a regular basis & ensure accuracy of same at all times. 
    • Customer Service and Data Entry skills are highly sought after, in addition to inventory management and warehouse experience.

  • Use database/software to analyze inventory data to help with efficient and effective inventory management and root cause analysis 
  • Prepare standard work for all system processes based around inventory management or location usage 
  • Review demand patterns, days of inventory on hand and inventory turns to establish optimum par levels for asset & expense supply locations 
  • Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory and minimize cost across all supply locations
  • Develop reports based around inventory par location utilization and metrics to report on daily, weekly, & monthly 
  • Monitor all inventory issues and ensures effective resolution 
  • Prepare and audit all daily cycle count processes and prepare reports for root cause analysis in regards to gaps 
  • Processes all paperwork pertinent to applicable duties. 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Three years of Inventory control/management practices, techniques, and systems. 
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures regarding all aspects of an assignment including basic arithmetic and inventory calculations
  • Ability to speak, read, write, understand and communicate in English to Hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused work environment 
  • Knowledge of computer systems and basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of medical and procedure supplies
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50-lbs
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, evenings
  • 9 Panel drug test- Saliva or Urine.  7-year BKG, SSN search, Education & Employment Verification, NSO.  TB Screening
